The Swan Inn

This Grade II listed building dates back as far as 1765. Sitting in the heart of the picturesque square in Dobcross, The Swan Inn offers a fantastic selection of food and drink, with regularly changing menus.
Downstairs there are three separate spaces offering a warm and cosy atmosphere, with real fireplaces to keep the warmth going on colder nights. Upstairs is a performance space hosting regular events. There's also a beer garden. Our pub is family friendly, dog friendly and, well, just friendly all round. Come and find out for yourself.

your Landlady - Sharon musgrove

As a resident of Dobcross for almost 30 years, Sharon had long been a regular at The Swan Inn before deciding to take over at the pub in 2020. With a background in wealth management, Sharon's decision to leave her job and become a landlady was based on her strong sense of community. She says:
"My desire is to get The Swan Inn back to its former glory as a family pub and restore it to its rightful position at the heart of the community as the place to eat, drink and experience the very best of good old British hospitality.”

When it comes to welcoming, great quality, hearty food, Jon knows his stuff. Using locally sourced, seasonal produce, Jon creates menus with a wide range to suit all tastes, from traditional English fayre to complex international flavours plus vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Time Out, placing The Swan Inn at Number 1 in a list of country pubs close to Manchester, stated:
"Chef Jon Lowe creates meals of a quality that's well worth traveling for including the best cheese and onion pie and the tastiest sticky toffee pudding for miles around. The cream is so fresh you can literally walk to the farm it came from."

There are a number of spaces available for you to hire at The Swan Inn.

Our cosiest room is perfect for an informal meeting or small private get-together, whilst upstairs our event space is an ideal venue for a party, celebration, or more formal meeting.
